We started our entrepreneurship journey over a decade ago, in 2006. As most event business and venue owners know… this path is not easy. When we were starting out, we leaned on each other for support, but we had no experts to give us advice, and no professionals to fix our mistakes. (Which we made a lot of.) 

Today, we own three successful event businesses in the Raleigh area. We’re professional speakers, podcast hosts, and perpetual entrepreneurs. But we got here because we kept going. And, because we’ve been in your shoes, we want to use our knowledge and expertise to help you achieve your goals for your event or venue business.

Our Businesses

It all begins with an idea. For us- that idea was at lunch at a Bear Rock Cafe - sketching our dream on a napkin. As past science teachers - we needed to conduct our research before opening a venue - thus C and D Events, our planning company was born. 7 years later, we took on the hardest task ever and opened a venue. After years of being in the venue space- we realized our passion was also helping other business owner reach their dreams - thus Hustle & Gather was born!

C&D Events/Anthem House

C & D Events opened in 2006. It merged with Anthem House earlier this year. It executes 100+ events a year. The success of C&D was due to our strategic partnership with local venues. We aligned our selves with these businesses to provide an exceptional service to clients. It currently revenues in the mid six-figure range.

The Bradford

The Bradford opened in 2014 with a bang! It currently hosts anywhere from 120-130 events a year. Our success was aided by our industry knowledge as planners and the strategic partnerships we curated over the 7 years before we opened. It currently revenues in the seven figures.

Hustle & Gather

Hustle and Gather started in 2019 - right before the pandemic started. Who says we don’t have perfect timing? H & G has had a few iterations over the years as we have honed in on what we love to do in the education space. We currently speak all over the country at countless businesses, associations, and conferences. The Conference Series is our newest addition to bringing quality education to event pros.
